Filament Maker X10

The production-grade filament maker. Become your own filament supplier.

A closed-loop, automated extrusion system built for continuous, unattended production. From powder, regrind, or pellet to finished spool, the X10 holds diameter, high-temperature (up to 450 °C), and output steady over runs that go well beyond a single shift.

Trusted by Industrial and Research Teams Worldwide

Compact Autonomous Filament Production

Filament Maker X10 is a closed-loop, automated extrusion system built for one thing: unattended, production-grade filament output. Load the hopper, thread the filament once, and let the FMX10 run. It's holding its own diameter, temperature, and tension for hours at a time. The only thing left for you to do is change the spool.

Beta-tested for 6+ months across production and recycling pilots before this launch, the FMX10 is built for teams who want to decentralize their filament supply — producing their own material on demand, instead of relying on external supply.

Recycling. Production. Innovation.

One machine. Lower material cost, higher output, and full control of your own supply.

Enable Recycling

Turn waste streams into feedstock. Material that used to cost money to dispose of becomes the cheapest spool you own.

Accelerate Innovation

Develop, test, and validate new materials and composites. From first formulation to printable filament in-house, within a day.

Decentralize Production

Your own filament production line, on demand. Decentralized, flexible, and ready for small-batch and certified production.

Designed for Unattended Production

Fully Automatic - Remotely Monitored

Automated closed-loop control adjusts extrusion in real time to hold your set diameter, using live readings from the in-line sensor. No manual tweaking mid-run, and no need to stand next to the machine — check in remotely from wherever you are.

A Longer Cooling Path

The filament travels 2.80 meters from nozzle to spool. This gradual cooling path means filament is placed, not stretched: unlocking 2–3× the output of Filament Maker TWO, and making low-viscosity and recycled materials far easier to run at speed.

Powder, Regrind & Abrasive Materials

The SmartFlow Hopper's Vibration Feeder keeps regrinds and powders, including MJF/SLS waste, flowing without bridging, while a tempered DC53 tool-steel screw and hardened nozzles stand up to abrasive, filled compounds run after run.

Measured After Cooling, Corrected Automatically

The 3-axis sensor sits at the end of the cooling path, after shrinkage has settled, feeding straight back into the loop. Its scan rate is tuned specifically for production-scale output, built to keep pace with continuous runs. ±30 µm tolerance held on the spool.

System Capabilities

Validated across 6+ months of beta production and recycling runs.

Cooling Path

  • The main enabler for 1.5kg/h production capacity
  • 2.80 meters of total cooling path loop:
    1m silicone conveyor belt + 0.5m wheel + 1.3m return to spool
  • Tensioner arm keeps consistent tension for automated spooling
  • Wheel cover protects highly filled materials from exiting the system

Precision & Closed-Loop Control

  • 3-axis optical filament sensor positioned at the end of the extended cooling zone, measuring diameter and ovality in real time
  • Fully automatic closed-loop control: the automated control loop holds the set diameter from live sensor readings, no manual tuning during runs
  • Diameter is measured after the filament has fully cooled and shrunk
